Delete your Mushukistan account

This page explains how account deletion works for the Mushukistan app.

How to delete your account

Open Mushukistan.
Go to Settings.
Open About account.
Select Delete account.
Confirm account deletion.

Request deletion from this website

Submitting this form does not immediately delete your account. If an active account exists for the email address, Mushukistan sends a time-limited confirmation link to that email. This page does not reveal whether an account exists.

What is removed

When account deletion is confirmed, Mushukistan deactivates and anonymizes the account. Login is disabled and authentication credentials are removed.

Email address, password hash, name, avatar URL, phone number, Telegram username, bio, legal acceptance records, and last-login data are removed from the account.
The user's likes are removed.
Blocking records involving the deleted account are removed.
Affected leaderboard cache entries are removed.
User-owned posts, comments, lost-pet posts, and adoption/rehoming posts are hidden and anonymized.
Copied contact details are cleared from lost-pet and adoption/rehoming posts.
Mushukistan attempts best-effort cleanup of uploaded profile, post, lost-pet, and adoption/rehoming media associated with the account.

What may remain

Some non-public or anonymized records may remain where they are needed for service integrity, moderation, safety, abuse prevention, or legal compliance. This can include anonymized content records, cat records, content locations attached to retained records, timestamps, moderation/report records, and a non-personal internal tombstone identifier for the deleted account.

Mushukistan does not claim a guaranteed automatic deletion period for all retained records.

If you cannot access the app

Use the website form above to request a confirmation link by email. The account is not deleted until the confirmation link is opened and account deletion is explicitly confirmed.
